Adam Moffatt is an arts and culture event producer and programmer. Adam aims to assist artists and organizations with their needs through strong programming, administrative, financial, curatorial, event coordination, grant writing and production skills.
Nano Debassige is currently the Managing Director at the Weengushk Film Institute on Manitoulin Island. Within the company, Nano assumes many roles from a supervisory role in the educational side of the company, the Production Supervisor at all stages of production for all the projects that the Institute is involved in, to overseeing the operations of the building.
Miranda is an events and communications manager with experience in fundraising, planning and production. She is passionate about the festival industry and being able to play a part in showcasing arts to the community.
Dr. Shirley Cheechoo C.M.
Dr. Shirley Cheechoo C.M. is the president of Spoken Song Film Production Company and founded Weengushk Film Institute on beautiful Manitoulin Island. She is a Cree actress, writer, producer, director, and visual artist. She was named chancellor of Brock University in July 2015, the institution’s first female and first Aboriginal Chancellor.
Jonathan is a videographer and photographer with a bachelor in Film Studies. Before becoming the Youth Program Officer for Weengushk Film Institute in 2018, Jonathan worked as a photographer/videographer for various organizations, along with a variety of top-of-the-line industry professionals.
