Holy Prostitution

Holy Prostitution is an award winning film that deals with the discrimination and oppression of women in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this film, the filmmaker took great risks and without permission questioned critical religious issues in order to discover the truth of society in Iran. Some parts of the film were shot with a hidden camera. Oppressed women forced to do a religious type of prostitution for financial reasons. And all this is organized by the religious clergy in Iran. Three interviews with women who do this for a living and one interview with a minister who works for the government. and the opinion of people on the street, made in a shared taxi for safety reasons.
